My name is Caren and I am a person in long term recovery. What that means for me is that I have not found it necessary to consume any mood-altering substance since May 11, 2010. The reason I got into this line of work is not what you might commonly think. Addiction had such a hold on my life, and when I finally experienced the freedom of recovery, I was willing to do anything to keep it. I made the decision at 90 days clean to enter the LADC program and it was the best decision I have made. I have created a life based on service to those who suffer from the disease of addiction (myself included).
I started at Sobriety First in April of 2015. From the first day I felt like I belonged here. I am the Program Director and oversee all our locations. I am so blessed to be a part of the Sobriety First Team. As we grow and learn our program evolves and allows us to provide clients with the best service available. Our team is close knit and has become a second family for me. I am so grateful to work at a place that allows my recovery to flourish while I can be of service to those who are new to their recovery.
